Our History
In 1811, Chatham, New York’s oldest (now haunted) building was erected, later called “Groat’s Tavern,” where President Martin Van Buren was a frequent patron. Rumor has it he knocked a few too many libations back during his “Society of the Detection of Horse Thieves” meetings. Lucky for him, riding drunk wasn’t illegal, and his trusted stallion knew the way home.
Olde 1811 Antique Shoppe busts at the seams with treasures for collectors, homeowners & designers!
